Gathering for Easter

For you are with us Oh God, when we take our first breath and you are with us when we take our last breath and you are with us in all our moments in between.--Blessed be and Amen.

Rev. Ellen King will lead us in worship and the celebration of Easter. Following worship we will continue our evening with a Potluck. Our offering will go to "One Great Hour of Sharing".

More Beyond Theology

At The Gathering this week will be Neil Snipes leading us in a Beyond Theology film. A discussion will follow.  Our offering this week will be for the Children's Advocacy Center.

Untying the Knots

 

This Sunday, April 6th at 5:30 p.m. at The Gathering, the Rev. Ellen King will lead us in Worship.  Her homily is entitled "Untying the Knots."  Worship will be followed by our potluck dinner.  If you are pressed for time and can't bring a dish, come anyway--there is always plenty of food.  Our offering this Sunday will be for Project Dignidad.

The Reverend Helen Maxwell will be leading worship this Sunday. She is an ordained United Methodist minister, currently serving Bethel UMC. Scripture is Psalm 121, and sermon title is (Who Do You Call?). This is Potluck Sunday, too. Offering will go to WTOS.

Gathering for Film

This Sunday, March 9th, The Gathering will be lead by Neil Snipes. Neil will be showing "Science & Spirituality" from "The Beyond Theology" series. A discussion, lead by Neil, will follow.

Science and spirituality:  While science and technology have been based primarily upon a materialistic approach to the world, most spiritual traditions have employed a more intuitive approach. As scientific exploration continues to unveil new views of the universe, what's happening to our "sense of the cosmos"?

Our offering will be for the "Buddhist Peace Fellowship". 

Gathering for Worship

This week Rev. Tracy Baker Wright will lead the service Sunday.  The offering will go to San Angelo Friends of the Environment (SAFE).  Join us at 5:30 pm on March 2nd at 618 Locust Street.
