Come for the "super" evening this Superbowl Sunday night. In honor of this auspicious American tradition, our worship theme concerns all things "super" (well, maybe not all). In particular, who are those "superhereos" in our spiritual lives - those mentors, guides, gurus of our spiritual journeys? What do you consider "super" songs for the journey? What are "super" mission/social justice efforts and "super" spiritual disciplines? ..... You get the idea. Our offering is two-fold: we'll gather cans of soup for Project Dignidad and also collect a monetary offering for the Souper Bowl of Caring.
You've already figured out what's next: our dinner will be soup and super sandwiches, of course. Those of us who planned worship this time are just too clever, huh? :) Well, it's going to be an all-around super evening and a great night to invite friends!
